Glasgow
A day out to Glasgow to visit our niece who has just finished her third year at Strathclyde University. We arrived into the new light filled Queen Street station - there's now a wall of windows looking out onto George Square. What a difference. We walked up Buchanan Street past the Donald Dewar statue and on to K's flat in the Garnethill area of Glasgow. Donald Dewar was Scotland's first First Minister who died unexpectedly in 2000 only 18 months after taking office. The sculpture by the Glasgow sculpter Kenny Mackay really captures the essence of Donald Dewar. We had a great lunch in The Ox and Finch in Finnieston.
Thoroughly enjoying my new yoga class on a Tuesday evening at the North Merchiston Club.
