Having a lick!
I've been on a half day macro course today. It was enjoyable and I learnt some unexpected knowledge.
For example, people who take photos of butterflies and moths, often put them in the fridge first. Insects can be sprayed with hairspray!! All to slow them down or keep them still!!
More useful is the taking of a blurred flower shot of your chosen background to put behind the subject. So, you can pick a flower and have a flowery background.
This is one of my shots. You either love it or hate it!! The autofocus seemed to want to keep focussing on the wooden branch which made it a bit tricky.
