Yellow Poppies. Known as Welsh.
A close up of the yellow poppies. They are volunteers. We did not scatter seed or plant any specimens.
We used to have the traditional red poppies, but they disappeared several years ago.
Roseberry, next door, has a wide range of various colour poppies and they are specimens planted.
The potato field to the east of us is now being watered with spray jets. The farmer has created his own reservoir of water further up the hill.
We do live in a very dry area.
The extra is of a Rabbit lamp base in Twinkletree. It does appear hand painted. It is contemporary. Pat bought it several years ago at a "trade" interiors show at NEC.
