Wet

A leisurely start to the day as we were only going as far as Craobh. So I knew it was going to be a bit against the tide. But with an increasingly strong wind. Wind against tide…. hmm. Out in the sound we surged through some areas of confused water at quite a slow pace heading for smoother water - always some way off. Suddenly we were hit by a huge gust which spun the boat 180° (I had two reefs in) and within seconds we were heading into the wind at over 8kts. It took a couple of attempts to get back on course and thankfully we soon got into less disturbed water. Phew. Is it always this gusty here?
So, Croabh, a fine sheltered marina with cutesy ersatz holiday cottages and … a bar, with decent beer! And football on TV. And it was chucking it down so much that we had to shelter there for quite some time.
