‘Three Apples Fell From The Sky’

This is the latest book that we read from the European Writers Book Club - it is a novel by an Armenian writer and was originally published in Russian. It is about life in a remote Armenian village and is a fascinating story. I decided to read it a second time after hearing the discussion - and realise there was so much I missed trying to read it to a deadline! The title came from an old Armenian saying:
‘And three apples fell from heaven:
One for the story-teller,
one for the listener
And one for the eavesdropper.’
