The snowdrops, daffodils and cowslips that have adorned the banks of the lakes at Gosford earlier in the year have now been replaced by yellow irises.  A moorhen. and I think her chicks, were almost hidden by the white water lilies covering much of the lily pond while two swans escorted their tiny cygnets past the geese on the lake.  Four herons stood patiently peering into the water and under the watchful eyes of the parents, two little ducklings paddled furiously spoiling the reflections of the trees.  As usual a walk at Gosford is a pleasure and a good opportunity to stock up at the Bothy farm shop.
Thanks to BobsBlips for hosting the “reflections” challenge.
