Cakes are the new snow.....

......around here anyway. I was going to blip all our snow. It snowed heavily for two hours this morning (most of which I spent walking the dogs) but, as has happened all this winter, it all disappeared as soon as it stopped falling.
Phonecall to collect S from school again today. Science and a talk on the circulation of blood was enough to turn my squeamish boy green and the school first aider thought he was so green he needed to come home! He gets that from Mr Cakes by the way!
In more pleasant news it was a bit of a baking afternoon. The local school are doing a Great British Bake Off and coffee afternoon for Comic Relief so a few home made goodies required. Old favourites custard creams, chocolate chip cookies and chocolate cake were joined by a double orange cake; just for a change. Hopefully I'll get a picture of all the goodies on show tomorrow so you can see what you're missing, lol!
