Sad news

The nest of the Chinese Bulbul, that had two chicks and an egg in it on Monday, as I found it today. It seems unlikely that they will have fledged already so I can only assume that they have been predated. 

The Chinese Bulbuls seemed more timid than their Red Whiskered counterparts, so we’d tried not to check on the nest and disturb the parents. Maybe if we’d checked more often the chicks might still be there.
