Not a Swallowtail
Suzanne and I squeezed in an outing this morning before we both start hitting the roads, making up for so many months at home. We initially thought we had spotted a swallowtail without its tail, but I believe this is a Red-spotted Purple. I noticed these for the first time last summer. A kind birdwatcher gave us a heads up about a few Yellow-breasted Chat in the vicinity, and although I got multiple shots of one in a treetop, it was pretty far away.
