Out for lunch

A delightful lunch at Pinchinthorpe Hall to celebrate C's birthday, together with L and N. We all enjoyed the chance to get dressed up, to eat something different, to drink some wine, and to talk and talk. Back home I sat outside reading and noticed many bees and other insects on the sage flowers. This one was definitely hovering so I assume it is some sort of hoverfly.
