River Drying Up Already

This seemed rather bizarre to me with all the snow melt higher up the mountain. We have had a series of really hot days and storms are threatening tonight. People can only build these cairns when the river Gryonne is low, fully knowing that the structures will be swept away after the next heavy rainfall. Impermanence is everywhere.
