Angels wings
Sttangely enough I woke feeling as if Id slept. more soundly last night .....maybe it was because my angel had flown in.......comforting he is nearby maybe. I ended up having to rush a little to get ready in time!
Quickly watered the baskets, before gathering up the things I wanted to take to daughter, incuding her requested red onion for a feta salad ;-)
We had a moment as I gave her a little piece of her Dad, we didnt want it to be real, but we know it is......made us so sad all over again, We pulled ourselves together, went outside to sit in Dads corner of her garden.....chatted a short while before I had to dash off to meet an ex work colleague of both mine and hubs.
Spent nearly 4 hours catching up with our friend, she lost her dad just before Christmas to covid.....he has always lived with them, so she is feeling his loss deeply too.....despite our sadness we managed to buoy each other over brunch and coffee, a wander around the garden centre and later, we sat outside a pub, that wasnt open lol, just chatting before going our separate ways.
I felt a bit tearful driving home......but once back in the back garden, I felt better, started to water, sweep up the rose petals, spoke to D&E nextdoor, they came round to see hub, they both said how lovely the lava stone is.....D made me smile when D said he didnt know hub had put weight on :-) it is a statement piece.....as Patrick Swayze said, no one puts baby in the corner!
Todays blip is just a little red damsel with its filligree wings and shadows.......
I got changed, sorted out something for my tea later......duck with a mango salad dressed with lime & chilli dressing.
Watched some football, then the final of the photography competition from last Monday, which was really good, then a bit of a recorded Googlebox whilst uploading my blip and now its deifnitely time for bed as yet again its gone midnight!'
