What a Glorious Day

Woke up at 5:00 am to a perfect day, weather wise and otherwise. Enjoyed a quiet breakfast in the gazebo while hubby picked up my asthma meds and a few groceries. Then we started organizing the she shed. We stopped only for lunch and finished the job just in time to get a shower and meet my son and his family at 5:30 pm. We had a relaxing boat ride to the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay in hopes of seeing dolphins; maybe next time. On the way, we passed a Skipjack with a large party of Amish folks enjoying the wonderful weather. Then we headed back to Solomons where everyone but granddaughter Lauren met us for dinner at a nice seafood restaurant. They showered me with such thoughtful gifts. Skylar and Mack had not ridden on Jamie’s Boston Whaler cabin cruiser so he invited them and Mancil to ride back with us to the marina. We meandered around a few inlets but Jamie showed us her full power in the open waters. Those girls had the time of their lives. The sunset was beautiful. We came back to my house for cake, ice cream and those silly grands singing to me. My sister had already left for WV to prepare for our nephew’s family visit but she dropped off her gift before leaving. What a treasure -a stained glass kitty that looks just like our girls.

To say the least, I was covered in honey today. Thanks for the visit.
