Red Blanket

Year 2 Day 87 of UK COVID-19 Pandemic.  First UK Vaccine 193 days ago. UK open. Minor restrictions. Overseas travel seriously restricted.

Our friends Roy & Sue from Oswestry (Shropshire) stayed the night and wanted to see some of our countryside; so late morning we went for a drive through hamlets like Foy, Sellack & Hoarwithy on the outskirts of Ross on Wye. I spotted a field of vivid red poppies (Brockhampton) and we stopped to take a photograph, with some birdie friend watching on from overhead wires.

They headed off early afternoon, and were replaced by some other friends Kel & Mandy for a few hours. The overcast weather changed and produced some light drizzle, so we stayed in chatting for a good couple of  hours.

I'll be watching the England v Scotland Euro match on tv shortly. Despite being Welsh I've supported England since a young child so I'll be cheering them on!
