Feeding frenzy!!

A very frosty night was followed by blue skies and a warmer day. The birds that had cleared off somewhere else yesterday were back with enthusiasm. Even the bigger birds were in the fat feeder.

There is a wren that visits occasionally and is very hard to capture, but today I caught him on the hanging basket which sits below the fat feeder. It is not the clearest of pictures (the window is not very clean, not helped by yesterday's rain & snow) but the best I could get.

I caught him with a tasty morsel for breakfast. Couldn't understand why the shots were getting misty then realised the kettle was boiling and steaming up the kitchen window!!!
