Strangeness

Into Edinburgh for lunch with an old colleague. Travelled in by bus for this first time since COVID kicked off. Windows open, some seats taped off, all passengers masked. Strange. Down in the Grassmarket where groups of Scottish supporters were becoming increasingly merry and less and less tuneful. Strange. In my experience the period before the match where there is hope and all sorts of possibilities is the best.. during and after the match, there is is reality. And strange structures have appeared since last I was in town.
