Lychgate

My husband had to go for another eye check-up today, this time in Great Missenden. Unlike his appointments in Windsor we weren't stuck in an overcrowded waiting room and he was seen on time, well one minute late and the doctor apologised for keeping him waiting :)

We were picking up our daughter on the way home, so we stopped in Chalfont St Giles to kill some time. We found a pub and had a drink, but it wasn't as cosy on the inside as it looked from the outside, so rather than stay for seconds we wandered around to the church. This is the rather novel lychgate there, it revolves!!!! Maybe it's the first ever revolving door. Unfortunately it only revolves 180 degrees as they have concreted in metal stoppers... spoil sports!!!!
