Great Gable from the path off Scafell Pike
With the knee improving, we thought a real test was in order. Parked up early at Seathwaite, to add to our second official round of wainwrights.
Walked round the back of Great End, over Broad Crag and onto the summit of Scafell Pike, for a couple of seconds, I was the highest person in England. Returned over Lingmell, and back down the corridor route to Seathwaite. Managed 12.5 miles, 30,000+ steps and around 3,500 feet of height. Ached a bit at the end of that, but it felt so good to feel capable of a decent walk again after my recent knee issues.
Scafell Pike: 4/214
Lingmell: 5/214
