Delivery

This morning, I heard a loud vehicle outside, which was trying to reverse down my cul-de-sac. It was having trouble as the angle of car parked across the road meant the driver didn't have enough turning room, and the lorry kept mounting the pavement by my garden and knocking my roses. One of the operatives used a very long stick to keep the roses out of the way but still the gap was too narrow. So, the 'shingle' was hoisted out from there. I kept a beady eye on the operation. Quite a long time later, I saw the buyer still wheel-barrowing it down the street to his garden.
