New clay, new teapot
So hot today that even the soap stone toad woke up.
I thought I would try this very coarse clay. It fires black. It won't take long to dry out in this heat but there will be lots of rain next week, so they say.
Elsewhere, onions were pulled and converted into pickled onions - no heating or salt, just vinegar and pickling spice. I had to use wine vinegar since malt vinegar isn't a thing here. I did one small jar with the vinegar I made last year from the little pears. D's uncle called them pierdolki - which is quite rude but funny if you know two languages :-()
D is reading in her new hammock in a different patch of trees. We have quite a few places to sit and muse now.
