Scapa Flow
05.43 hrs. The blue blueness didn’t last. It was dull most of the day. It soon livened up when the Current Mrs Creel alighted from the Hoy Ferry.
Then it was all systems go in sorting out my Mum’s flat pre-flit. I didn’t realise she’d held onto a copy of my cycling proficiency certificate; in fact it was the last time I was on a bike.
Then across to the care home, and the new GP practice she’ll be under, to start paperwork.
Sorting through a lifetime of my Mum’s effects help to redefine the word ‘salutary’.
