I had an appointment this afternoon with a Infectious Diseases doctor.  That sounds worse than it is.  Let me explain ...

Because my recent surgery included removal of my spleen I need to have certain vaccinations.  Apparently your spleen helps control infections that can happen and the vaccinations that we had as a child are stored here.  Who knew?!?  

So today I received not one ... not two ... not three ... but FOUR vaccines!  Unfortunately because of my lymphedema risk I can't have shots, etc. in the left arm.  So all the vaccines were administered into the muscle of my right arm .... OUCH!  

My arm is quite sore as you can imagine.  But these neat bandages make for a cool Abstract Thursday "shape" blip!
