Old and new

We caught a bus to town - I can't remember the last time we did that! Met calum along Princes Street, which was very busy, and went for a walk up Calton hill, which was much quieter. Admired the vistas all round, across Edinburgh, towards Fife, and down the coast towards the Bass rock. As we looked towards the pentlands we could see rain coming, so we headed back down and found a nice place to have coffee and shelter for a while.
A dull, cool afternoon. Dennis watched football and I tried to make progress with the book of old photos and memories that I'm trying to put together for mum's fast approaching 90th birthday.
