Power outage

We had been contacted a couple of weeks ago by the electricity company to tell us they were going maintenance today. They told us the electricity would be off for five hours. This shows just how reliant we are on electricity! Fortunately the Aga still worked. When our Coach House project is complete we will have batteries charged by solar panels so this will not be a problem in future.
We had seven vehicles parked on the field next to us as they cut the trees back. There was one person on a platform lopping branches. The sheep just ignored them! The electricity came back on about an hour earlier than they had said. It’s always best to overestimate the time needed for the job so you make sure you finish early :-))
