Poppy

Joined a small number of ladies for an outdoor lunch to celebrate the 82nd birthday of a dear lady.
This white poppy is growing in the garden of the lady who hosted us. She tells me it’s nearly 50 years old and has been in several gardens.
It was only in recent years that I learned that poppies come in other colours. I think I still prefer the red ones.
