Comrie Old Parish Kirk (1804)

Early run from Comrie up the Water of Ruchill in Glen Artney to the entrance of Findhu Glen. A padlocked white wooden gate stood in my way. A sign proclaimed “Blast Design - Explosives Engineering Solutions. Trials and Testing Site. Authorised Personel (sic) Only.”

Over I went and enjoyed a peaceful run to the head of the glen and then down to the main road. I weaved a way back to the start via some Comrie core paths.

I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of wildlife that had crossed my path in the 30odd kms : Red Kite, Kestrel, Red Squirrel, black rabbit, stoat, an albino squirrel(!) and red deer.
