Dob Park Lodge
High on the moorland above Otley is Dob Park Lodge, ruined and forgotten. One of three hunting lodges, this once would have provided welcome respite from the scouring winds and the biting Yorkshire weather. Originally built in the 17th century, it is now designated as an Ancient Monument, and is Grade II listed.
There is scaffolding around the higher part which suggests some sort of work is being undertaken to stabilise the remaining structure. Once a grand building, it is definitely now derelict.
Across the valley behind it you can see the 'golf balls' of Menwith Hill surveillance station.
