More moths

Yes this is a night flying moth that when perched folds it's wings so that you think it's a stick. In extra is a cinnabar moth (red strips) which you can easily find during the day especially near ragwort and the lovely large Poplar hawk moth which you never see flying by day as it makes such a good bird snack.

It was a wet Sunday and as I had my moth trap out last night I thought I would show you a bit of moth variety. I will try to move on from moths this week as you have seen enough to get the idea that moths have a bad press for no reason.
