Lac

It's been terribly hot so we decided to go to a lake for a swim. I chose a pretty nice lake that is a bit more than an hour's drive away. But it was worth it. We got there before 9am. The water was at the perfect temperature. There were ducks and "poule d'eau" and "cormoran" on the water as well as a bunch of dragonflies flying by the surface. Plus the beautiful scenery. There were just two other people there when we arrived, so the only sounds were bird song and the water.  
 We went in the water, ate our sandwiches, went for another dip and left when groups and families were starting to arrive. 
The blip isn't great because it was quite cloudy so light was very diffuse. I never quite got how to take nice photos in cloudy weather. 
For three days now rain had been forecasted and the region was in "orange alert" for sumer storms and not a drop. Well, this afternoon it all came down like a tropical storm with thunder and all. 
Quite a contrast to our morning outing...
