Lunch Stop
Today we biked 25km (15.5 miles) from Perth up the Tay, then the Almond, then back via Huntingtower Castle. We had an ice-cream to reward ourselves at the end!
This was our lunch stop on the River Almond, where we threw in lots of stones. We started just going for a good splash and nice noise, then had a competition based on an apparently arbitrary and rapidly evolving rules created by CyclopsJnr. He ended up with a lot more turns than me and a lot more points than me... Latterly we tried to hit leaves floating downriver, or sticks we threw in.
CyclopsJnr felt rebellious on the food front today. He declined our usual camping breakfast of toast (with butter, jam or honey) and a banana, and had a banana and honey sandwich instead. At lunchtime I offered him a corned beef sandwich or a cheese sandwich, and he opted to have BOTH fillings and professed the result to be delicious.
He was pleased to give Cyclops a home-made father's day card this morning (with a lovely gift) and made an effort to be extra kind all day. He was also delighted to be reunited with MrsCyclops when we got home! So both parents feel appreciated...
