A day!
Being very very close to so many killing machines turned out to be the least of the issues today.
Disaster zone of a group - proving yet again the new format of bronze D of E is terrible.
Straightforward medical evac for a group member turning into a much trickier hard conversations thing.
Confirmed covid outbreak at the school. (so far, so negative thankfully)
Genuinely worrying encounter with a man who I want to belive had some serious life issues going on. First time ever in an outdoor-y context I've been worried for my safety. And then the realisation that my group of over-privaliged, sheltered, valuable in all the ways teens might meet him. But that in standard bronze d of e fashion we didn't quite know where they were, except not where they were meant to be. Lots of running happened!
On the very big upside.
The 2 boys who'd been especially hard work all week were spotted navigating, carrying a struggling teammates bag and generally joining in positively. Seems something went in!
