soggy starling..

Happy Monday! And the rain continues to fall! What joy!!

Spot of food shopping this morning which was nice as there weren't many people about!  And then a wander to the local post office to post off a parcel - empty there too! Where has everybody gone?!

The rainy weather seems to have made the local bird population extra hungry as I seem to be putting out more food than ever before! And when the bird table is empty I have a parade of birds - normally the starlings and wood pigeons - who fly up to peer through the window of the spare room where the computer is as they know that's where the 'food supplier' is to be found!!  How can I resist when they look this cute??!  We've had a very good - and loud! - brood of starlings through the garden this year so at least their numbers seem to be doing well!  Jackdaw numbers seem to be increasing too!
