Surfing School

I wanted to go to Homebase at Cromer this morning, so I also popped into the town to get a blip. It was so cold there, only 12C but also with a strong wind coming straight off the North Sea. It didn't seem to be putting off those in the surfing school though.

The PM said the country may be in for a 'rough winter for all sorts of reasons'. He also said that cases, hospitalisations and ICU admissions are all going up by about 30% a week, and that 'this is going to be - whatever happens - a difficult year for travel.' Good to see him giving out a more realistic message. Data on the effectiveness of booster jabs will not be available until late August. A ban on non-essential travel between Scotland and Manchester, imposed by the Scottish Government, has come into force today and has led to Mayor Andy Burnham getting into a tizzy again as he wasn't consulted. Some reports on heavier periods after having the vaccine are currently thought to be coincidental. A Scottish football player in the Euros has tested positive.
