Day 455 A piece of history

Today was one of hard work for those of us helping daughter #2 leave her current home ready to move into the new (to us) one.  We paid a visit to the 'new' house where the kitchen is just about as stripped out as it's going to be with even the ceiling removed as there is quite a bit of electrical work to be done to make it safe.  It must have ben here that our builder found the ancient newspaper that features in my blip today.  As I took the photos with my phone in rather a dark place the date is not clear but it is 15 September 1938, just a year before war broke out in Europe.  Woman's Weekly, which was founded in 1911 is still going strong today although it has undergone quite few changes since its founding days!
This evening, today being Father's Day, we took Mr MC out for a curry this evening, which he certainly deserved after his hard work today
