Windswept

We parked by Beck Wythop near Bassenthwaite Lake and explored a new path (to us) through the woods, bringing us eventually to Sale Fell, adding to our "new" Wainwright tally. On the way up we passed a good number of well windswept trees, often known as "flag trees" which have grown deformed by the prevailing winds. This one was the most contorted, and needed shooting from ground level to keep the trunk clear of the ground (and of Skiddaw in the background)
