Cruising

This is Papa Swan hurrying to get to where I was standing trying to get a decent shot of Mama Swan setting on her nest. He's a very protective mate, last week I saw him chasing a tractor that he thought was too close for comfort. Last year's cygnet, now as large as his parents, appears to no longer be welcome on the pond and most days I see him on an another small pond on the grounds. Today I didn't see him at all, I hope the foxes haven't made a meal of him.
