Clary Sage (?) on the Solstice

Is there such a thing? That's the name that sticks in my mind for these tall spiky flowers (not the daisies of my thumbnail). I grew them from seed a year or two ago and now they're blooming for the first time, so beautifully I think. 

This was taken after a fierce storm that hit swiftly and gave us a welcome drenching, clearing the humidity that had raised our heat index to 100 degrees today. I was out snapping a couple pics as the wind hit, and had I not been so taken with the dramatic clouds rolling in from the west I might've noticed our deck umbrella sailing over our house. Later after quite a search I found it upside down under some trees 120 feet away!
