It's nice to BE NICE

"It's nice to be nice" is something that instantly reminds me of my Dad, he is so right, I actually feel instantly happy when I've been nice for the sake of being nice. Today was one of those days all day long, spent my morning making calls for Victim Support and training up a new volunteer.

In the afternoon I drove to the lush Portobello to hang out with my awesome Nana Clark. We went to M&S to exchange some trousers which are too big for her - I'm pretty sure the woman at the exchange till got it all wrong, instead of just processing an exchange, she refunded the first pair, then sold the new size, when noticing a price difference she exchanged and refunded my Nana £10...I re-stated my Nana didn't want a refund, just to swap the size, she continued this and was happy to hand over the money. My understanding was once it was in the sale you could only reclaim sale costs, but not with this member of staff, ach well Nana went back into the store and bought more.

Post scone and coffee and right when we were at the door to leave she declared we forgot to have a look around the food hall...she said she needed some "essentials" as her cupboards were "bare" and she had not yet done her ONLINE shop. Yup guys she is 85 and shops online. So off we went for the essentials...Turns out Nana thinks this is, 2 boxes of Walnut Whips, 2 packs of Hot Cross buns, 2 tubs of mini swiss rolls, a packet of liquorice allsorts and some pretzels... apparently online shopping always makes her forget to buy snacks...basically it prevents temptation created in real shops then. Awesome, felt like a student trip to a supermarket in exam time!

Awesome day with Nana, stopped by the beach on the way back home and was almost annoyed at not getting any decent shots, turned back for one last glance and noticed this beaut of a sign...NICE!
