Rack: purpose unknown
We don't know what this was used for. It is possible it was used to store partly-assembled MK54 SADMs or perhaps even complete W48s.
We can only speculate as to the nature of the event which took place in the area where it was found. The markings on the walls appear to be writing, but are not readily decipherable. Analysis has confirmed our suspicion that they are in blood, from at least five individuals together with some animal blood, probably from cattle. The stand itself was entirely covered in a spray of what appeared at first to be blood but, while clearly originating in some living organism, analysis has found no recognisable genetic material.
Any larger organic remains have been removed in what seems to have been a partial cleanup operation before the site was abandoned.
We must assume some kind of incursion, possibly with the goal of retrieving what was stored here. But by whom, or perhaps by what, we cannot know.
