Had an extremely interesting visit to 'Gilbert White's House' in Selborne. He was a 18th Century Naturalist and a forerunner of todays science. His book  'Natural History and Antiquties of Selborne' was first published in 1789 and has not been out of print since with 300 editions - wow.

There was also a exhibition of Captain Oates of Antartica fame, fascinating. All this plus some beautiful flowers to photograph in the garden what better way to end the day than with a 'Vanilla and Dime Bar' Ice Cream.
