Black-tailed skimmer

I took this photo,  and the extra,  at North Cave Wetlands in Yorkshire. None of the group could identify this yellow dragonfly, so I put it on the Ispot website at www.ispotnature.org

I soon got an answer . It seems that it is a black-tailed skimmer.  It could be a female, but as its eyes are quite light it is more likely an immature male. The dragonfly in the extra is a four-spotted chaser.

I've not got round to buying a new laptop or getting this old one fixed yet, so I am having difficulties getting my photos processed and uploaded.
