Monarch butterfly

We were having dinner on the patio tonight and I spotted this butterfly.  I was able to get pretty close and take a picture.  I usually only see little white butterflies, so this was a real treat.

I'm still settling in from my getaway.  One of my friends stayed with me until today when she flew back home to Austin, Texas.  It was nice to have that extra time together.
