MOONFLEET CHURCH.

This is the church used in the MoonFleet smuggling novel by J. Meade. Now wrecked by the Great Storm of 1824. Set in a small graveyard overlooking the peaceful Fleet Lagoon. Unchanged since the time of it's partial destruction in the flood and tidal wave that struck the area in November 1824. I walked past it every day while we we’re on holiday. It had rained all night so the sky was grey on this morning but a lovely church and a pretty cottages near by.
