Bowl of Love
This beautiful peony rose is flowering in the front garden. My partner bought it for me after Des died 3 1/2 years ago. This afternoon Ursula , my son’s German Granny took the train from Liverpool to see us. She was very touched to see the peony we planted in memory of her late husband Des. ‘Bowl of Love ‘ the peonies name was apt, as Des was such a warm hearted , talented, bright and witty man.
After enjoying tea in the garden we all went for a walk by the river Nith. We spotted the goosander mum and 5 of her chicks in the water. The youngsters have grown well since we last saw them as fluffy chicks.
We enjoyed a lovely meal of daal, rice, naan bread, broccoli and salad .
We watched the football , Scotland vs Croatia in Euros. Sadly Scotland got beaten, so that’s them out of the championships.
