The organ set in the chancel at Thurgaton church last Sunday. It made a pleasant change to witness the organ being played behind the lay preacher; a husband and wife team. Just the odd duff note! , but live always beats a recording and this old organ didn't look the easiest to play
The extra shows the pedal clavier aka pedalboard underneath the seat for playing the low notes.
I had a very informative visit and gained much useful insight looking and listening to their sound system afterwards, as well as how they operated covid wise etc. Their church warden was very acommodating and left the church open for me to spend more time on my research after service.
Am always intrigued by old organs with every one appearing to be bespoke in my very limited experience. Love the power of the sound too.
