Loose Bottom
One of my former colleagues came down from Edinburgh today for a 'decent' walk on the South Downs. We managed 24 miles (38.6 km) in perfect walking weather and I saw my first Silver-washed Fritillary of the year. This is on the South Downs Way near the intriguingly named Loose Bottom heading east towards Lewes in the distance.
