Travelling On

Yesterday we drove from Manapouri to Cromwell and stayed in a new motel for the night.  It was cosy and warm and in the morning there was a heavy frost on the truck.  The drive to christchurch was very pretty once we drove out of the fog at Taris.  This blip is one of the canals built to divert water for the hydro dams near Lake Tekapo.  There is a cycle trail beside it which is a side trail from the Alps to Ocean Cycle trail.  If my Blip buddies who bike could get here they could ride 190 mils from the Southern Alps to the Pacific Ocean.  
We arrived in Christchurch and caught up with the lovely daughter before going out to my sisters to share dinner and watch the rugby final.
