As today has been a home day this is a compilation of some of the mountain flowers seen on Monday.  I counted 51 different flowers on the walk with bugle and meadow cranesbill being among the most common flowers at the start and higher up rock rose, tormentil and butterwort were common with many rarer flowers like mossy saxifrage and bog asphodel still in bud.  The main photo shows some of the masses of butterwort which, like the sundew, is insectivorous trapping insects in its sticky leaves.  The extra shows chickweed wintergreen, heath milkwort, alpine bistort, lousewort, cowberry, fragrant orchid, cottongrass and sundew.
