We bought it!!

In a moment of excess, we bought the Victorian knife cleaner/sharpener.  

We really couldn't let it go - it's in amazing condition, and we will quite happily keep it if the OGH Committee decide they don't want it.  Then we can lend it to OGH on special occasions for display.  

It's a beautiful thing.  I might even blip the top later on so you can get an idea of how it works, but basically there are disks of wire inside, and slots on the top where you slide the knives in.  You then turn a large handle and lo and behold, your knives are cleaned and sharpened.
