Incoming!

Spent much of the day with my mom today...she was in good spirits and we had a lovely time. No games today though...just word puzzles that she does in her head while I read her the clues. She's amazingly good at them! 

We're bracing for a "historic regional heatwave, which will break both daily and all-time temperature records". Starting Friday night and going through Monday night - with high temps on Sunday of 110F/43.3. The all-time high for Portland is 107F. And never in June. It's downright frightening. If you're at all interested in the Pacific NW weather, there's an amazing guy from the University of Washington that publishes a blog about our weather: Cliff Moss. I worry about folks with no air conditioning and health issues. 

But back to the garden today...caught this bee about to settle in on a lavender plant. Hope you've all had great days!
